My name is Kristin, and I am a Ph.D. student in the Media, Technology & Society Program in the School of Communications at Northwestern University. I am a Reseach Assistant in Eszter Hargittai’s Web Use Project.
DigitalCultureStudies.com is a blog dedicated to tracking inquiry regarding the intersection of humans and technology, with a focus on identity formation, privacy, and community in digitally mediated contexts, through a feminist lens. It is my backup brain - a place to record what I see online, and a place to work out the patterns to what I am seeing.
